Long-awaited Launch of Residential Fuel Cell Co-generation System !

Tokyo Gas has been engaged in a joint development project with Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. and with Ebara Ballard Corp. to produce Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cells (PEFCs) used in residential fuel cell co-generation systems. In another world first, Tokyo Gas is pleased to announce the launch of the co-generation systems to selected markets from February 8, 2005.
By the end of fiscal 2005 Tokyo Gas plans to make 200 limited-edition systems available to households within the Tokyo Gas supply areas that are serviceable for maintenance purposes. With annual sales anticipated to reach several thousand to well over 10,000, Tokyo Gas is aiming for widespread use of their revolutionary new product from fiscal 2008.
