Safety Structure

Below is the structure we have established to ensure safety even in extreme cases.

Safety Command Center

This center receives reports of gas leaks and other incidents from customers and requests Gaslight 24 dispatch in response.

Safety Command Center

Gaslight 24

These are 24-hour emergency dispatch bases for gas leaks and other incidents in gas mains, supply lines and customer gas equipment. In addition to the command base for the area Tokyo Gas supplies, we have approximately 600 professionals working at 49 bases to ensure constant, precise support. They swiftly respond to reports with emergency dispatches, even on holidays or during the night.

With emergency vehicles equipped with mapping systems that instantaneously display the necessary sections of an extensive pipeline diagram, our structure enables prompt action.

Gaslight 24

Station 24

These provide 24-hour monitoring via telephone connections between customers' home microcomputer meters and Tokyo Gas. Fully-trained and seasoned staff tirelessly track that there are no gas leaks and that gas equipment and appliances are functioning properly. In the event of an irregularity, they call the customer to notify them and can even shut off the gas remotely through the My Alert service (additional cost).
