<Challenge 2020 Vision>

Tokyo Gas has implemented multi energy services with natural gas at its core, supplying not only city gas but also electricity and other services. By providing one-stop solution to our customers, we believe it will improve our customer satisfaction.
This medium-term Group management plan for fiscal years 2009 - 2013 targets the evolution and advancement of our integrated energy business through emphasis on the "Three Es", i.e., "Eco-friendly" (creation of environmental value), "Excellent service" (improvement of value for customers), and"Expansion" (in-depth cultivation and widening of markets). It also calls for steps to strengthen the LNG value chain and reinforce the synergy of "All Tokyo Gas"for achievement of these ends.

Tokyo Gas will keep developing the immense latent demand for natural gas within the 200 kilometer radius around Tokyo by the approaches above, even when the business environment surrounding the Japanese energy industry is expected to become more severe.
We have targets for FY2013 gas sales volume to be 16.4 billion m3 and customers number at the end of FY2013, 11.2 million. To achieve this target, we will cultivate volume customers mainly in the industrial sector, establish electricity business, strengthen development of the demand for residential use and increase in the number of customers. We will also make investment in the pipeline and production facilities to meet the growing demand and enhance our supply stability.

While aggressively investing fund resources into reinforcing the LNG value chain (by involvement in upstream/overseas projects, infrastructural improvement, and demand development) for sustained growth, we shall deploy a balanced financial strategy that takes due account of investment efficiency, financial disposition, and shareholder allocation.
